Dear Go Sisters,

Congratulations to everyone involved in yesterdays Go Sisters Events. From Zambia I visited Chawama's Go Sisters Leg in the morning where around 50 girls took part in games from 5 years to u18s.  

Activities were led by a number of peer leaders that attended the games. I then visited Bauleni in the afternoon to see around 25 girls take part in an organised 11-a-side match. The games were played in good spirit with information of girl's rights being put across in movement games prior to both matches. A great start here in Zambia and I know other matches took place in KL and a few other areas that I cant pronounce properly so ill leave it for Annie to report.  

Just got message from the UK, Absolutely brilliant effort in London. What a start and can I just say how excited I am about next year. I already have 2 members of IDEALS group 2 wanting to be involved in committee for London games next year. Both played with Annie last weekend and are footballers, one potentially able to take games to Poland next year (PS:  the other is a Loughborough lass, figure she could fit it). This is the power of sport. We've now planted a seed in London and bath and wanted to say well done to you both and all the committee, Blair, Claire, Jess that stressed and organised to make this all happen. Girls in Chawama and Bauleni were genuinely over the moon to be taking part in an event that was also taking place around the world. I was excited and I wasn't even playing.
