Give a gift that makes a real difference!
We aim to provide a personalised service as a charity, with our low overheads we guarantee that 95% of
your money goes direct to those who need it most, with 5% being put back in the EduSport organisation{ in Zambia to enable them to continue their work with deprived communities. Unlike other organisations both Directors have worked directly with those delivering the programmes we support, we liaise closely with our co-ordinators on the ground in Lusaka which allows us to say with confidence we know where your gifts go.
Where possible we aim to give you a link with the projects you support be it by letters, pictures or reports through our website.
A quick word on the communities that you money goes to support, they are alikened to shanty towns which fringe Lusaka and are often referred to as shanty compounds or communities. The houses are unofficially built and corrugated iron is the dominant building material although breeze blocks frequently form walls. Sport has a vital role to play in these communities, as an outlet for the young people, a place where they can play free from other pressures on their lives. Living conditions result in disease, leaving many children with single parents or orphaned. EduSport works in these communities to provide both sport and educational opportunities,it aims to develop eadership skills and responsible citizens in the young people who take part in their activities to empower and enable them to make good decisions throughout their lives.

£10 buy a football for a community.
Children daily play with bare feet in the African dust fields, impromptu football games can be seen in every patch of open land. We buy Alive & Kicking footballs (
www.aliveandkicking.org.uk) which are made in Zambia and have imprinted on them HIV/AIDS awareness information. These footballs become the responsibility of the peer leaders who run the sessions in the communities, whilst they ensure the balls are looked after they understand the most important thing is that the children get the opportunity to play as often as possible.
We hope to buy a shipments of these footballs ( first one in January 2008 ) to be distributed around communities in Lusaka! To make a donation visit our

£40 buy sports equipment for a school.
This pack includes a football, netball and volleyball plus volleyball net plus an information pack about the rules, drills and organising sports sessions. Because of the abrasive surface the sports are played on the equipment tends to have a shorter life.
This pack allows schools to provide new opportunities to play and pupils to participate in PE classes.
All schools that are supported by Friend of EduSport have an alliance with
EduSport organisation in Zambia and have teams that represent them in EduSport community leagues. The 3 balls will be made in Zambia by Alive & kicking (
www.aliveandkicking.org.uk ) and will have HIV/AIDS awareness messages and malaria information imprinted on them. To make a donation visit our

Your donation will provide one team full outfits either for inter-school sport or for a community team, but it will also provide each player with a workbook for school to ensure they maintain their education.
You can choose to sponsor a netball or football team, please state your preference when applying. We will provide you details of the team you have supported and where possible photo evidence and news on their progress. To make a donation visit our

£60* sponsor a peer leader – give the gift of education.
Give the gift of education to one young person for a year, in return for which they will conduct sport & education sessions in their school or community. For the equivalent of £5 a month you will directly impact one person’s life through empowering them
to make a difference to many more. In return for the gift of education the young peer leader will write directly to the sponsor, EduSport will provide a picture and they will receive progress reports from school and/or their sports coach.
This was our biggest impact of 2007 as our supporters rallied to sponsor
15 peer leaders across 3 communities,
our pending list has grown considerably and we aim to have secured education for a further 20 by June 2008. To make a donation visit our
donation page.
£120* support a sport co-ordinator for a year.
Each community is run by a committee and a co-ordinator is given the responsibility to monitor the peer leaders, organise development opportunities and also run sport leagues and tournaments. In each community the sport co-ordinator have been fulfilling this role voluntarily for some time, your support can allow them to develop young people in their community to be sports leaders and responsible citizens by limiting their financial restrictions. They are given quarterly instalments which ensure they fulfil their role with a secured income.
The sponsor will receive quarterly reports on the progress of their teams and developments within their communities, we also hope this correspondence allows you to
get a better understanding of what life is like in Zambia plus a photo to ensure you have a personal link with the person you support.
In 2007 we supported 2 co-ordinators, our aim for 2008 is to secure sponsors for at least another 3 co-ordinators.
