Many stalls line the streets across Zambia, families sell small crops that can be grown in allotments such as onions and tomatoes. The stall here is selling cooking oil.



An introduction to basketball PE lesson

Many fundamental sport skills are undeveloped in ZAmbian youths due to lack of oportunity and equipment.  As part of the peer leaders role is to support the initiation of PE in local schools and introduce new sports and activities.






The value of water!

Like many items that the western world takes for granted, this school is lucky to have running water in its grounds allowing childern access all day long.

EduSport Football Academy

EduSport supports a football academy where the best players are selected from community teams to go and represent EduSport in the annual Norway Cup.



Local, regional and national football leagues.

Local, regional and national football leagues are run by EduSport. Both girls and boys football is extremely popular and often draws large crowds in the communities. Each year a team is sent to represent EduSport in the Norway Cup. Teams frequently play barefoot as football boots are expensive.

Fiona takes a group for warm up activities.  Childern as young as 5 can be seen carrying and looking after their younger siblings.




An inter school netball match

Inter school netball, the posts are made from spare tyre parts. The teams received new tops from Alloa All Saints Football Club in June 2006.

A young boy named Robert, due to malnutrition he physically like a 5 year old with a small frame but is actually 10 years of age. He is playing with a home-made ball (chimbomba) which is his pride and joy made from disused carrier bags.




The EduSport main office located in Kamwala

The EduSport main office located in Kamwala, Luskaka. A small bungalow hosts the office in a central location. The walls are filled with inspiration quotes and inside a number of trophies won by EduSport teams are proudly displayed.

Many girls are not allowed to attend school as they are given responsibility for younger siblings at a young age.  With school fee's required to be paid, parents often have to make the decision which child will attend school, as female marry out teh family many choose to support a boy instead.
